Alpine Golf Club

The reasons to play in Alpine Golf Club?  It’s probably the most ‘decorated’ golf course in Thailand today.  Here’s a short list:

  1. Best Golf Course in Thailand - Asian Golf Monthly Awards 2020

  2. Best Golf Course in Thailand - World Golf Awards 2019

  3. Best Golf Course in Thailand - Golf Digest magazine 2018

  4. Best Golf Course in Asia - Asian Golf Awards 2016

  5. Top 100 Golf Courses in the World - Golf World magazine 2015

  6. Best Course in Thailand - Rolex World's Top 1000 Golf Courses guide 2014

These accolades are a testament to the quality and reputation of the Alpine Golf Course and its exceptional facilities and services.

Created originally from flat rice paddy fields to a hilly and undulating layout, Alpine Golf Club is Thailand’s one of finest golf courses with over 3 years of proven experience of offering its members a new dimension of golf challenge beyond expectation. The course was designed by one of the world’s most renowned architects Mr. Ron M. Garl. Once he set feet on the 770-rai flat open land of Today’s Alpine Golf Club, the architect’s vision was to build Thailand’s one and only man-made hilly championship golf course. The course designer came up with carrying out the impossible task of building grass-covered hills on the vast flatlands, topped by hundreds of hand-picked trees and refined with high-grade sand. All these were aimed to introduce golfers to many unexpected golf challenges at Alpine Golf Club.

Royal Bang Pa-in

The Royal Bang Pa-In Golf Club is the most popular semi-public 18 hole championship golf course in Bangkok, designed by one of the world’s leading golf course architects, Schmidt-Curley Inc, the same designer for Mission Hills Haikou, Mission Hills Shenzhen, Siam Country Club, Amata Springs, The Plantation Golf Club, and over 150+ golf courses worldwide.

The 18 holes championship golf course is surrounded with an abundance of water and natural landscape features which come in to play on many holes. Yes, that means unless you are sharp with your irons, expect to lose balls to the beautiful lakes and streams.

One of the biggest advantages of playing here is that you will never be rushed for time. With the limited number of players and longer tee-time intervals, golfers will experience a more relaxed pace of play golf game.

Royal Gem City Golf Club

Not to be mixed up with Royal Gems Golf & Sport Club, this very well maintained club is famous for its unique design that pays homage to some of the most famous golf courses in the world. The golf course features replica holes inspired by famous golf courses such as the 10th to 18th hole Augusta National, the (in)famous 17th St. Andrews ‘Road’ hole, the 17th Par-3 hole at TPC Sawgrass, the ‘postage stamp’ hole at Royal Troon in Scotland as well as other holes from Oakmont, Bay Hill, The Belfry and more.

Can’t find the opportunity to play all these famous courses?  Now you can test your swing right here in Bangkok!

Amata Spring

Away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok city, the Amata Spring Country Club is located at a quiet industrial township of Chonburi.

Renowned golf course architect Lee Schmidt from Schmidt-Curley Design designed the tournament standard layout which has been awarded numerous accolades including Thailand’s Best Golf Course.

The signature hole is the famous 17th, a daunting and memorable par three featuring the Asia’s only floating island green which is only accessible by boat.  Yes, after hitting your shot onto the green, you will make your way to the jetty to take a 2 minute boat trip to the literral island green.  The novelty of the hole is worth the green fees!

Better still, Amata prides itself on peerless course conditions with perfectly manicured tee-to-green surfaces, and has hosted numerous international professional events with no fewer than 20 major winners facing the challenges of the testing 7500 yard course.

Don’t miss the opportunity to play at Amata Spring!

Siam Country Club

Siam Country Club Bangkok is the newest 5th addition of the Siam Country Club, and the only one located near the capital city,

This masterpiece 18-hole championship, 7,250 yards, golf course is meticulously designed by Toby Cobb, design associate of the Coore and Crenshaw Design, who is responsible for numerous world-renowned golf courses, and built by Golf East Co., Ltd.

This unique golf course is distinct from many of those surrounding Bangkok’s golf courses.  Fairways are gentle with a soft rolling slope.  Unlike many around Bangkok, only four water holes come into play.  Many potted grass face bunkers are scattered throughout the course and are uniquely small but playable.  All turtle-back greens, ranging from 425 to 1,000 sqm, are tricky yet challenging.

Fantastic finishing 18th hole, facing the clubhouse’s restaurant, is a par 3 with 1,000 sqm green, and is one of a kind putting surface that seems impossible to miss.  But a careless shot left of the green could end up at the bottom of a small 3-meter deep potted bunker, humorously called the “Big Ass”, from which the escape is a real test.

The parting here will leave everyone a memorable experience every time you are at Siam Country Club Bangkok.

Thai Country Club

Despite the fact that the Thai Country Club is one of the ‘older’ generation golf courses in Bangkok, opened in December 1996, it has retained impeccable standards and maintained top notch golfing conditions. The golf course was designed by Dennis Griffiths, the then President of the world renowned American Society of Golf Course Architects.

The 7,097-yards course was first seriously tested during the 1997 Asian Honda Classic won by Tiger Woods. This picturesque course is renowned for its immaculate conditions, a neo-classic design and its variety of holes, along with an abundance of water as well as fauna and flora – offering a constant challenge and hours of pleasure.

Nikanti

Measuring 6,789 yards from the back tees, each group of six holes is distinctive in look, design, and play.  The course has a unique design, with six holes each of par-3, par-4, and par-5, making it one of the few courses of its kind in the world.

More interestingly, Nikanti offers an ‘all-inclusive concept” where the fee you pay, covers not only green fees, caddie, golf carts but also meals and snacks on the course. This makes it easy for golfers to enjoy a hassle-free day of golf without worrying about additional costs.

The course is also well-maintained, with manicured fairways and greens, winning the club many awards, including the Best New Course in Asia-Pacific in 2015 and the Best Course in Thailand in 2018. These awards are a testament to the quality of the golf course and the experience it offers to golfers.

Enjoy!

Suwan Golf & Country Club

You will hear many golfers tell you that golfing at Suwan is a challenging affair with its hilly terrain, water hazards and (god-forbid) out-of-bounds markers.  But they’ll also tell you that they had a great time because the rural scenary and playing conditions are just fantastic, making it one of the best courses in Bangkok.

What’s more, green fees at Suwan are generally more affordable than many of the newer courses, doubling the fun and pleasure from this golfing gem.
