Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Phnom Penh is the capital city of Cambodia, less famous than her sibling in Siem Reap but still extremely rich in history and culture.  The grand Royal Palace, the National Museum of ancient Khmer civilisation artifacts and the infamous Killing Fields memorial are reasons enough to pay the city a visit.

What better excuse to visit the growing city than the mushrooming of new world class golf resorts to feed our golf affliction.  The Grand Phnom Penh golf club was established in 2008, followed by the Garden City Golf Club in 2013, and most recently in 2019, the 36-holes Vattanac Golf Resort.

You will have a chance to play at all these courses designed by world-renown golf architects, at a price lower than many other clubs in the neighbouring countries.  Book your tee times today!

Garden City Golf Club

Garden City Golf Club in Phnom Penh has been open since 2013 and quickly established itself as one of the top golf clubs in Phnom Penh. The club was named Golf Digest Editor’s Choice Award for the Best in Resort (International).

The par-72 layout is spread over 240 acres and is situated about 15 kms northeast of Phnom Penh. The course is managed by IMG and you can expect the course to be expertly maintained and the service to be up to the standards of the best golf courses in Asia.

Vattanac Golf Resort (East)

Just a 45 min drive from the Phnom Penh city center two contrasting Sir Nick Faldo designed championship courses await you.  Both the East and West Course, managed by Troon Golf, provide a spectacular setting around famous cultural expressions that include scale models of Khmer historical architectural sites, such as: Angkor Wat, Preah Vihear, Terrace of the Elephants and Bayon.

The “East” is a strategic golf course that utilizes dramatic water features, creative bunkering and various forms of native fauna to challenge golfers of all levels. The West Course has distinctive differences from the East Course, of which are defined by narrower and more undulating fairways, a variety of unique water features and testing Paspalum greens.
